Not Bad For a Wednesday, Volleyball and Soccer Win!

The Lake Fenton volleyball program traveled to Goodrich on Wednesday for a rematch of the battle on the turf on 9/15. The Martians were able to defeat the Blue Devils that evening in 5 sets which gave them the outright lead in the Flint Metro League stars division. The girls were out for revenge, but fell behind 2-0. However, these lady Blue Devils never go down easy, they fought back and won the next 3 sets to complete the reverse sweep on Goodrich’s home floor. They will be back in action next week at home against Brandon. Varsity wins 3-221-2521-2525-1827-2515-10 The boys soccer team hosted Corunna for round 1 of the MHSAA district tournament. They lead the whole way, winning by a final score of 7-0. It was a team effort with five different players scoring goals in the victory and Senior Devon Verbison netting a hat trick on the night!The boys will travel to Williamson for round two match up on October 14th. Brayden Angle -1 goalHaywood Denooijer- 1 assist, 1 goalDevi

Cross Country Up and Running Saturday

The Blue Devils Cross Country runners were up and running yesterday morning at the 42nd Linden Classic. The event featured over 20 schools. Brodie Licata, Jackson Butts, Gavin Hiler, Ana Lovell, Cooper Steckroth, and Paige Willman all medaled in the event. Licata picked up his 1st victory of the year while Lovell (3rd) and Butts (4th) picked up top 5 finishes. Gavin, Cooper and Paige finished 27th, 28th, and 27th respectively. Great job Blue Devils 💙🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♀️

Lake Fenton took on Goodrich Monday night, 9/15, in the 1st ever battle on the turf. The event was a huge success for the program as the both schools drew a strong following from students and fans. Congratulations to Jillian Ferrill as she recorded her 1,000th kill. The match up with down to the wire with the Blue Devils falling to the Martians 17-15 in the 5th set.

Varsity Blue Devils Win at Home

Lake Fenton Varsity Football start their season 1-0 after a 50-36 victory over New Boston Huron! Camden Fray threw for 304 yards (2 TD) while adding another 187 yards (4 TD) on the ground. The Blue Devils playmakers had a great night as Braylon Johnson hauled in 2 touchdowns, including a 67 yarder late in the 4th. The Lake Fenton offense moved the ball well for majority of the game leading to a 50 point night, which wouldn’t have been possible without the offensive line having a strong night. The defense made big plays when they needed to, putting pressure on Huron’s QB who threw 2 interceptions. Hudson Husted started the scoring for LF with a 85 yard pick 6. Xander Stalo contributed on both offense and defense, but sealed New Boston Huron’s fate with a interception with about 2 minutes to go in the 4th quarter. The team will travel to Divine Child next Friday @ 7PM. Let’s keep it going!

Lake Fenton Tennis Defeats Fenton

Lake Fenton Tennis faced off against Fenton last night beating them 6-2. The victory marks the first win against Fenton in program history.  Winning matches at singles for the Blue Devils were Caden Melynchek and Patrick Kline in a marathon 3 setter.  Sweeping the doubles flights for Lake Fenton were Dexter Todd and Brady Danner, Jay Heil and Baylen Guiles, Braylen Judge and Nick Hammel and Griffin D'Aigle and Eddie Plewka.  The team improves their record to 3 wins and 2 losses and stays undefeated in the Metro League.  Their next home match will be 9/4 vs Owosso and the full schedule can be found on the tennis page of the LF athletics site.Good job Coach Ian Thomas and the Blue Devils Tennis Team!
